I guess its time that we cleared up a thing or two about the title...
What kind of game is it?
We can't really call it a game, because there isn't a whole lot of interaction or basic gameplay rules. It's more of an application; an audio-visual-tactile stimulator if you will. You provide your own music for the application and we make the controller shake along with the music. It looks and feels very cool. We're also in the process of signing a number of indie music artists for the application and you'll be able to listen to and use a number of awesome tracks that will be provided for free with the game!
Why an audio-visual-tactile stimulator?
We've been working on a more traditional game for quite some time now but after a recent review we realized we needed even more time to make it work. At the same time though, we wanted to put something out there to get some feedback and offer an early hint as to what we're preparing.
If you take a look at the most popular list on the Xbox Live Community Games service, you'll notice that that some of the top products involve massage or specialty visuals of some form. We decided to mix the two and add in our own unique twist with music responsiveness.
How long has this taken to develop?
We've been working on our current behind-the-scenes product since late January, but this particular release is something we whipped up in about 3 weeks using our existing technology and assets. We've also been forced to build some of the components we've been neglecting, like a real UI, so most of it is transferable to our other stuff.
When can I go buy it? :)
We're currently in playtest and we expect to be in review within the next week. Once we're in review it may be anywhere from 1-2 weeks before you can purchase it. So think mid-July.
How much will I have to shell out?
You can have your audio-visual-tactile stimulator for a low low price of 200 Microsoft points.
How can I get it?
You need an Xbox 360 with an Xbox Live enabled account (Silver is fine) that permits unrated content. Boot up the console, connect to Xbox Live, go to the "Game Marketplace", and then "Community Games" [soon to be "Indie Games"]. If we're not on one of the lists, use the browse option to search for our game by name. Of course, you'll only be able to do this once we release!
