ActionScript vs. C++

     Hello everyone! THis will be my first blog post ever so I am really excited!! woot! OK, so first of all I'd like to say that pow Studios is a really great company to do an internship for. They have a really helpful committed staff and it's been great so far.

    Now, to the main course of this blog post. Flash game development is AWESOME!! Period. THe amount of time it takes to code something is just so much faster than doing something in C++. Plus, you got all your animations and level design right in front of you. The bad thing is that flash can not handle BIG games. Atleast I do not think it can. I need to try. Anyway, I really really like actionscript and I can't wait till actionscript 4.0 comes out.

P.S. The Flash game is looking awesome! You will love it!

I thought Machinarium was pretty big.

Yea, I don't know about that Greg.  It may just be perception since a lot of flash games are small compared to more traditional releases on PC and Console.  That is probably because of the nature of the typical user of flash games.  Beyond network bandwidth issues, I'm not sure if there is an actual technical issue with it.  Maybe you just found yourself a research topic :)
